The community for dog lovers
Barnaby connects you with other dog lovers – in your neighbourhood and around the world. Follow their walks, give Wuffs, comment – and share your best routes. A feed made only of walks: no advertising noise, no strangers chasing reach.
A feed made only of walks
Your Barnaby feed shows exactly one thing: the walks of the people you follow. Every post is a real route with a map preview, distance, duration and pace – plus a photo and a few words if you like. No endless scrolling through other people’s ads, no videos pulling you away from what matters. Just dogs, just walks.
You can share a walk straight after finishing it, or post a photo-only update – the muddy-puddle moment without the route, say. Over time this becomes a little diary of the paths you’ve walked together.
Follow, Wuffs and comments
The community runs on encouragement. With a Wuff – Barnaby’s version of a “like” – you celebrate someone else’s walk. A comment says more, a follow keeps you connected.
- Follow: subscribe to other dog lovers’ walks and keep an eye on their progress.
- Wuffs: a small gesture with a big impact on the whole community’s motivation.
- Comments: swap notes on routes, weather and favourite spots.
- Profiles: every profile shows dogs, walks and achievements at a glance.
Public or private — you decide
You decide who sees your walks. With a private account, people first have to send you a follow request that you approve or decline – only then do your walks become visible to them. Private means truly private on Barnaby: visibility is enforced on the server, not just hidden in the app.
Find friends — without your address book
Everyone on Barnaby has a unique username. You can find people directly through search, and with the QR profile you connect in seconds at the next meet-up at the dog park – just scan, done. We don’t rummage through your phone contacts to do it.
Sharing one dog
One dog, several people? With shared dog profiles, family, partner or walking friends all contribute to the same dog. Every walk counts for everyone – no matter who holds the leash today. Access works via a secret code with confirmation, so no one joins uninvited.
